karmaloop + puma

it sounds like a good combination/collaboration, but one clothing selection produced by puma and sold online by karmaloop begs to differ - the "knee pants strap 01" pictured above. i troll karmaloop several times a day because their sale section can't be beat. i'm addicted to deals. and paul frank shoes. and emily the strange knee-high socks. it's getting to be quite the problem. in any case, it may just be that i lack an SVA education and could never get into parsons, but i find these pants just a tad unwearable. they're even on sale! i know, i know, they cater to the raver crowd. and the hip hop crowd. but i find that they have quite a bit of love for the hipster crowd too. and i find the "hipster" look teetering toward "conservative" these days. "preppy" even. and i can't imagine anyone from the three aforementioned culture clusters wearing these wannabe snowboard pants trussed up with luggage straps. sorry guys, but the pink plaid just ain't gonna cut it this time.
